Living is to launching a cross-platform treasure hunt-style game to promote its upcoming exclusive run of series five of US drama ‘Supernatural’. The game, called ‘Fight the Apocalypse’, can be played online, mobile and print will give users a chance to appear on the show. It is based around collecting hidden symbols, which players must locate, photograph and send via MMS to the campaign shortcode. Images taken on a mobile phone will then be recognised by the game and uploaded on to the player’s profile.

The first clue will be released on 20 January. A video featuring ‘Supernatural’s resident angel Castiel, played by actor Misha Collins, will launch the game that can be accessed via a dedicated microsite, luciferiscoming.com.

To win, players can either locate all the secret symbols or create an online army of support, with players encouraged to invite friends to join their army through social networking site Facebook.

In addition Twitter will countdown the start of the game as well as announce new clues and create a community around the game and new series of ‘Supernatural’. Followers of the Fight the Apocalypse Twitter feed will be given tips and additional mini-challenges to win extra prizes.

On January 13, 2010, around 9pm EST, Misha tweeted, asking his minions to “pony up” and please donate to UNICEF on behalf of the relief efforts in Haiti.

In less than 20 hours, fandom and www.minionstimulus.com have helped to raise more than $13,300. But we can do so much more—with your help.

If you are a US or Canadian minion, please give whatever you can to Misha’s page on UNICEF. (If you are an international minion, you can still donate at Misha’s page with your credit card, simply do not select a state or province to do so.)

If that doesn’t work for your situation, you have the option to donate via PayPal to the Minion Stimulus Fund, which transfers all funds designated to Haiti from that account to Misha’s page several times a day, so all minions’ contributions can be counted.

Even if you haven’t any funds to spare or you’ve already contributed in some other way, there are free ways to lend your support:

Send the UNICEF link to your friends, family, and other Supernatural communities!
Join the communities involved, such as:
www.minionstimulus.com
Minion Stimulus’ Twitter account
Misha’s Minions Charity Facebook
Minion Stimulus Livejournal Community
And you can follow Misha on Twitter.

Let’s all pony up and do something amazing! Thank you so much for reading and for being so awesome!
